Danbury officials are considering stronger penalties for illegal ATV and dirt bike use on city streets and property. The City Council has formed a committee to review the current ordinance, which now only allows police to seize and auction off the vehicles. Mayor Roberto Alves says the goal is to impose the highest fines allowed under state law to curb what he calls dangerous and disruptive behavior.
