This week, Danbury honored its Vietnam War vets on the 50th anniversary of the departure of U.S. combat troops from Vietnam. William Moser of Danbury, who served in Vietnam in 1969 and is with the Marine Corps League Hat City Detachment, read the names on the Vietnam War memorial in Rogers Park during the local ceremony held on Vietnam War Veterans Day on Wednesday. About 30 people gathered at the Danbury park for the solemn ceremony. The monument there honors service members from Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield.
