Connecticut Receives $25 Million In Federal Disaster Relief For Road Repairs

The Federal Highway Administration has approved $25 million in emergency relief funding to reimburse the Connecticut Department of Transportation for road and bridge repairs following the August 2024 floods. The storms caused about $40 million in damage across the western part of the state. The new funding adds to $3 million approved last year, bringing total federal aid to $28 million. State officials say the money will replenish funds used for emergency repairs and help strengthen infrastructure against future flooding.
