Seven More Troopers Disciplined In Connecticut Ticket Scandal

Seven additional Connecticut state troopers have been punished for falsifying traffic ticket data, bringing the total disciplined to 18. Internal reports show some troopers created fake tickets to appear more productive — a “common practice,” according to one sergeant. None of the newly punished officers were found to have intentionally deceived anyone. The long-running scandal, which began in 2022, uncovered more than 100,000 questionable tickets and led to major reforms in data tracking and supervision within the state police.
