Enrollment in Danbury Public Schools has fallen for the second year in a row, now at just over 11,400 students — a drop of more than 500 from last year. Declines are mainly among English learners and low-income students. Even with fewer students, English learners still make up more than a third of the district. Officials are watching closely to see if winter enrollment brings any rebound.
