Danbury residents bought more nips than any other town in the Greater Danbury Area from April through September, moving 875,005 bottles. The state’s Nickel-Per-Nip program returned $43,750 to Danbury for local litter cleanup. New Milford followed with 413,431 bottles sold, and Bethel came in third with just under 200,000. Ridgefield moved up the rankings this year, leaving last place behind.
