Democrat Pat Del Monaco has regained the first selectman seat in New Fairfield, defeating incumbent Melissa Lindsey 2,537 to 2,208 in Tuesday’s election. Del Monaco previously held the post from 2017 to 2023 and promised to continue supporting schools and town initiatives. Democrats also gained control of the Board of Selectmen, with Khris Hall topping Republican Jon Russo 2,474 to 2,251. Lindsey conceded following the results.
