A 72 year old New Fairfield man is accused of staging a fall to collect workers’ comp while working security in Ridgefield. State officials say David Stevenson slowly lowered himself to the floor in June at the Boehringer Ingelheim building, despite claiming he slipped. Investigators say he collected just over a thousand dollars in benefits before the fraud was caught on video. Stevenson was released on a ten thousand dollar bond and faces a court date November 14.
