A former West Redding volunteer firefighter is accused of stealing a department gas card and using it to fuel his own car. Police say 45 year old Matt Rees of Norwalk admitted taking the card and using it for personal use over the past year, racking up nearly $1,500 in charges. Rees was arrested October 11 on a second-degree larceny charge and released after posting bond. He’s due in court Thursday in Danbury.
