Connecticut locked in $144 million after federal regulators signed off on the state’s plan for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program. The money will be used to expand high-speed internet access statewide.
The BEAD program as it is called, was created under the infrastructure law and is sending more than $42 billion to states and territories for broadband buildouts. Connecticut was one of 18 states to get the green light this week.
