Brookfield has secured a $659,600 state grant to move forward with its $12.4 million downtown streetscape project. The funding will support phase 4, a 600-foot stretch of Federal Road and the Still River Greenway Trail Connector. The project had stalled for three years, but officials say the grant allows work to resume, with phase 4 expected to finish by 2028 following design and state approvals.
