Newtown police have released bodycam footage showing a 34 year old man allegedly “sucker-punching” an officer during a disturbance on Hanover Road. The man has been charged with assault on a police officer, and authorities say the investigation is ongoing. Police are reviewing the video to determine if additional charges are warranted.
