Eversource says it will seek a $64 million rate increase next year for its Aquarion Water customers after state regulators rejected the company’s plan to sell Aquarion to the Regional Water Authority. The request was expected, with regulators noting Aquarion already faced a major revenue shortfall. Aquarion serves about 236,000 customer accounts across 59 Connecticut communities.
