The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will host its first public workshop on new nuclear development Wednesday, Dec. 10. Officials say the sessions will help communities and policy makers explore advanced nuclear options such as small modular reactors and fusion designs. Public comments will be accepted through Dec. 22 as the state considers expanding carbon-free nuclear capacity.
