Danbury is looking at raising the mayor’s salary nearly 20 percent to bring it in line with similar cities. An ad hoc committee approved by the City Council will study boosting the pay to $165,000, with increases also proposed for the town clerk and treasurer. If approved, the new salaries would take effect in late 2027 for the next elected terms.
