Connecticut health officials have confirmed the state’s first measles case in four years. A child under 10 from Fairfield County, unvaccinated and recently returned from international travel, tested positive. Measles is highly contagious, and officials stress vaccination as the most effective protection. More than 98% of Connecticut kindergartners are already vaccinated, the highest rate in the nation.
