Turns out the killer of a Danbury taxi driver in New York State was an illegal alien with a standing removal order. Federal immigration officials have lodged a detainer against 28 year old Santos Vasquez-Ramirez, charged with murdering a Danbury taxi driver. Investigators say Vasquez-Ramirez strangled 66 year old Aurelio Zhunio-Orbez of Danbury during a fare dispute, then dumped his body in the Croton Falls Reservoir. Vasquez-Ramirez remains jailed without bail and is expected to be transferred to federal custody.
