Danbury High School’s new career academy model is giving students hands-on training aimed at direct entry into the workforce. The school now offers eight academies and 21 career pathways, including health services and culinary arts. Students can graduate with industry certifications such as EMT or food safety credentials. School leaders say the program improves engagement, builds real-world skills, and helps students leave high school job-ready.
