Hartford HealthCare Agrees To Cap Costs After Hospital Purchase

Hartford HealthCare has reached a deal with the state to limit cost increases following its purchase of Manchester Memorial and Rockville General hospitals. The $86.1 million deal, set to close on New Year’s Eve, makes Hartford HealthCare the largest hospital system in Connecticut. Under the agreement with Attorney General William Tong, price increases at the two hospitals will be limited for two years and some physician noncompete rules will be waived.
