Five people and three dogs were forced out of their homes after a fire broke out in a condominium on Willow Springs in New Milford Tuesday morning. Occupants from the affected unit and nearby condos were evacuated as firefighters quickly knocked down the fire. Officials say closed interior doors helped prevent major damage. The Red Cross assisted four adults and one minor. The cause remains under investigation.
