Brookfield’s interim school superintendent is stepping down earlier than planned. Vonda Tencza told staff she will resign effective January 16, five months before her contract was set to end. Her departure comes as budget planning begins and while the school board continues its search for a permanent superintendent. The next round of interviews is scheduled later this month.
