Connecticut elections officials have expanded an investigation into the 2022 campaign finances of former Republican state Senate candidate Michelle Coelho of the Danbury area. The State Elections Enforcement Commission voted to seek additional records and authorize subpoenas following a post-election audit. Coelho and her campaign treasurer say they were unaware of the expanded probe and have not received formal notices.
