A New Milford man is now five months into a 12 year prison sentence for exchanging drugs for sex with minors. Thirty two year old Luis David Torrez was sentenced last July after pleading guilty to a dozen felony charges, including sexual assault, risk of injury to a child, selling narcotics, and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Police say Torrez supplied drugs to three underage girls and engaged in sex acts with them, recording some encounters. The investigation began in late 2022 and led to his arrest in 2023 after he fled the state. Torrez is being held at Cheshire Correctional Institution with a projected release date in 2035.
