A Bethel police officer is facing criminal charges tied to a January 2025 Route 8 crash in Shelton that killed 14 year old Chloe Ramsubhag of Waterbury. State police say 32 year old Jessenia Beamonte is accused of helping a relative evade responsibility and interfering with the investigation. Authorities say she delayed contacting emergency services and obstructed the probe. Beamonte turned herself in on a warrant, was released on bond, and placed on administrative leave.
