On Thursday evening, Roberto Alves was sworn in as Danbury’s 1st Latino mayor and the first Democrat to lead Danbury City Hall in 22 years. Alves was sworn into office during a ceremony during a ceremony last evening at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury. The new mayor promised “an open door and partnership.” Along with Alves, more than 40 other officials took the oath of office.
