AT&T Customers Face Dec 18 Deadline To Claim Data Breach Payments

AT&T customers, including customers here in Connecticut, who were hit by two major 2024 data breaches have just two weeks left to file for compensation. The telecom giant’s $177 million settlement allows some current and former customers to claim up to $7,500, depending on whether they can show losses tied to the leaks. One breach exposed Social Security numbers for more than 70 million account holders. Claims must be filed online or postmarked by Dec. 18, and payments won’t go out until sometime next year.
