Bethel police arrested 34 year old Eric Stavola after finding a loaded handgun reported stolen from Maine while executing a search warrant inside his apartment. Investigators say Stavola is a convicted felon and was taken into custody during a traffic stop the following day. Police also seized knives, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash from his vehicle. He is now being held on a 250 thousand dollar bond.
