Brookfield Hires Two Interim Superintendents for Upcoming School Year

Brookfield schools will have two interim leaders over the next year. Rich Napoli, acting dean at Whisconier ((WISK-uh-neer)) Middle School, is serving as interim superintendent through early September. Then Vonda Tencza, former Woodbridge superintendent, will take over through June 2026. Tencza was praised by the board for her focus on communication and keeping initiatives on track. The board has hired a search firm to find a permanent replacement for former superintendent John Barile, who left to become dean at Central Connecticut State University.
