Brookfield officials are surveying an area along Federal Road for possible endangered grass species as part of the town’s streetscape project. A licensed botanist will assess the state-owned land between Heron Park and the new Food Emporium traffic light. Property owners have been asked not to mow or enter the roped-off sections until the survey is complete.
