Car Goes Airborne In Newtown Crash

1 person was injured early Thursday morning when a car went airborne in an early-morning crash on Blue Spruce Drive in Newtown. The single-vehicle wreck happened around 4:43 a.m. after the car left the roadway, traveled about 52 feet through the air, and struck a stone pillar. The victim was taken to Danbury Hospital with what were described as mild to moderate injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
