Caroline Ellison Transferred to NYC Facility Ahead of Early Prison Release

Caroline Ellison, the 32 year old former CEO of Alameda Research, has been moved from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury to a Residential Reentry Management office in New York City. The transfer came ahead of her scheduled early release on Feb. 20, roughly nine months before the end of her two-year sentence for fraud and money laundering tied to the collapse of FTX. Ellison’s cooperation with prosecutors played a key role in the convictions of other FTX executives, and her move back into transitional custody is expected to draw renewed media and public attention.
