Crews are still searching for a 6-year-old boy who fell into the Housatonic River in Stratford. It happened Wednesday afternoon near the Birdseye Boat Ramp. A Coast Guard chopper, local agencies, and even a utility worker joined the effort.

A judge has ended probation for 62 year old Lynette James, a former Waterbury library clerk who admitted to stealing over $300,000. Despite owing nearly $244,000 in restitution, James paid just over $6,000. The judge ruled her disability income made her indigent and not willfully in violation.

A 36 year old Danbury man is facing burglary and stalking charges after police say he unlawfully entered a woman’s bedroom on Oil Mill Road. Adelso Ramirez was arrested Sunday night and arraigned Monday. Police say the woman got Ramirez to leave before officers arrived. A pretrial hearing is set for September 15.
