Connecticut Increases EV Rebate Incentive Starting October 1

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says it is raising the standard rebate for new battery electric vehicles under the CHEAPR program back to $1,000 starting October 1. The incentive was temporarily reduced to $500 in July while federal tax credits were still available. No other rebates are changing at this time. The state says demand for CHEAPR remains strong, especially with federal tax credits expiring September 30.
