Connecticut To Receive Nearly $5 Million In Mercedes Emissions Settlement

Connecticut will receive just under $5 million from a multistate settlement with Mercedes-Benz over illegal diesel emissions software. State officials say the automaker used undisclosed defeat devices that allowed vehicles to exceed pollution limits while marketing them as clean. More than 3,100 vehicles in Connecticut were affected. The settlement also includes consumer payments, vehicle fixes, and extended warranties, while Mercedes denies wrongdoing.
