Connecticut USPS Worker Admits Stealing $250,000 In Money Orders

A 34 year old Connecticut postal worker pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to stealing more than $250,000 in postal money orders. Prosecutors said the man issued over 250 fraudulent money orders from Connecticut post offices in 2024, often using another employee’s credentials to hide the theft. Most orders were for $1,000, cashed or deposited into his personal accounts. He faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced April 15.
