The Bridgeport-Stamford-Danbury metro area ranks second in the nation for new multi-family home construction, according to a new report from Construction Coverage. Nearly 74 percent of all new housing units authorized in the area last year were multi-family — totaling more than 1,400 apartments, condos, and townhomes. Connecticut as a whole also ranks among the top states, with more than 64 percent of new homes built in multi-family developments.
