Danbury Firefighters Honored for Thermal Imaging Rescue

Danbury firefighters will be honored later this month for rescuing a severely injured driver thrown about 700 feet from a crash scene. The November rescue used thermal imaging cameras to locate the victim in brush and trees within about ten minutes after the wreck. Fire officials say the driver was taken to a trauma center and is expected to make a full recovery. Recognition will take place February 25 at a Save-A-Life event at department headquarters.
