A 33 year old man from Danbury was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for moving fentanyl into Hartford. Investigators say a 2023 search of Jairo Abreu’s home turned up nearly three kilos of fentanyl and about 2,000 wax sleeves. He later pleaded guilty to federal charges and must report to prison January 15. Multiple agencies, including the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Gang Task Force and Hartford Police, were involved in the case.
