Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves Wins Second Term

Democrat Roberto Alves has secured a second term as Danbury mayor, defeating his Republican challenger by more than 2,500 votes. Early returns showed Alves with 7,199 votes to Buzaid’s 4,604. Speaking to supporters Tuesday night, Alves thanked voters and promised to continue focusing on schools, public safety, and city investments. Buzaid conceded, calling the outcome disappointing but expressing gratitude to his campaign team.
