Danbury Opens State-of-the-art Fire Training School

Danbury has opened a new $1 million fire training facility on Plumtrees Road, designed to enhance firefighter preparedness and safety across the region. The four-story steel structure features movable walls and a smoke generator to simulate real emergency conditions. The facility allows for advanced training in a controlled environment and supports coordinated drills for multiple agencies. City and regional leaders say the site will benefit not only Danbury firefighters but departments from surrounding towns as well. The opening included a moment of silence for a firefighter recently lost in the line of duty in Plainville.
