Danbury is committing $50,000 from cannabis tax revenue to support a new Boys & Girls Club at the Danbury Community Center on Boughton Street. Mayor Roberto Alves says the funds will help provide after-school programs, vacation child care, and summer camps for kids in kindergarten through 12th grade. The club, run by the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, is set to open in early 2026, giving local youth a safe place for learning and mentoring.
