Danbury Pushes Judge to Order Ex-finance Chief to Hand Over Pay Records

Danbury city attorneys are asking a judge to force former finance director David St. Hilaire to turn over years of payroll records and correspondence as a wrongful termination lawsuit heads toward trial. St. Hilaire, who took a $350,000 vacation payout before being dismissed, claims the city fired him unjustly and broke a retirement deal. The city says he’s ignored multiple discovery deadlines and wants the court to compel compliance within 14 days and cover legal costs. A previous attempt to dismiss part of the case was denied.
