Danbury is reviewing a proposal from Catholic Charities of Fairfield County to replace a burned out and deteriorating Main Street corner with a four story building featuring 21 affordable apartments and expanded social service offices.
The nine point five million dollar project would include 17 studio units and four one bedroom apartments, along with a ground floor kitchen supporting the charity’s free breakfast program. City planning staff are evaluating the proposal, which would require administrative approval and state funding support.
