Danbury Public Schools has named Dr. Kristy Zaleta (zah-LET-uh) as its new K-12 Chief of Schools. Zaleta, a 22-year district veteran and 2024 Connecticut Middle School Principal of the Year, most recently led Rogers Park Middle School, where she drove one of the state’s biggest achievement gains. Zaleta replaces Christopher Roche, who is heading to Woodstock Public Schools as superintendent. A search for her replacement at Rogers Park is underway.
