Rogers Park Middle School teacher Brian Betesh has been named Connecticut’s 2026 Teacher of the Year. The sixth-grade social studies teacher was surprised during a school assembly. Betesh, a Danbury native in his nineteenth year at Rogers Park, is being honored for his creativity, leadership, and dedication to students. He’ll now represent Connecticut as a finalist for National Teacher of the Year.
