Danbury Technical High School to Get 616 Kilowatt Solar Installation

Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury will get a 616-kilowatt solar carport system as part of a statewide project at seven technical high schools. The initiative, led by the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System with Verogy and the Connecticut Green Bank, aims to cut energy costs by nearly $6 million and reduce carbon emissions by more than 2,200 metric tons annually. Officials say the project will also give students hands-on experience with clean energy technologies shaping future careers.
