State auditors are reviewing traffic stop data from Danbury police after an immigrant advocacy group raised concerns about possible targeting of Latino drivers. The request was sent to the Connecticut Racial Profiling Prohibition Project, which is pulling 2025 data for a preliminary analysis. Danbury police say the claims lack merit, claiming the stepped-up traffic enforcement was driven by safety concerns and led to fewer crashes and drunk drivers.
