The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will hold a virtual public workshop Tuesday, February 3, from 2 to 5 p.m. The session will focus on advanced nuclear reactors, plant siting, safety, security, and spent fuel management. National experts, including a former Nuclear Regulatory Commission chairman and senior officials from federal agencies and industry groups, will take part. The workshop is part of an ongoing DEEP review of potential new nuclear capacity in Connecticut. Public comments will be accepted through February 17.
