State elections officials have expanded an investigation into the 2022 campaign finances of former Republican state Senate candidate Michelle Coelho. The State Elections Enforcement Commission voted to seek additional records tied to Coelho’s losing race against Democratic Sen. Julie Kushner. Coelho and her campaign treasurer say they have not received subpoenas and believe required documents were already submitted. The probe stems from a post-election audit and remains ongoing.
