Eversource is starting a multi-year underground cable replacement project in Danbury this October. The company will replace about 3.6 miles of main transmission lines between the Middle River and Triangle Street Substations. Construction will begin on White Street and continue in phases through late 2027, with final restoration expected in 2028. Officials say electric service will not be interrupted. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and residents will be notified before crews arrive.
